Mancraft MMR – HPA Airsoft Pressure Regulator

Mancraft MMR stands for Mancraft Micro Regulator. Our pressure regulator was designed especially for airsoft sniper rifles and speedsoft guns. Thus huge importance was put to create high-performance HPA regulator with extremely stable pressure output and super fast refresh rate. As a result we are proud to tell that even with minimal technical knowledge our regulators users are able to tune their rifles and enjoy fps within 1-3fps range. Moreover Mancraft MMR pressure regulator became a tool of choice for many professional speedsoft players which use it on daily basis for their trainings and international tournaments.

Airsoft Pressure Regulator Design:

Minimalistic design and simplicity are the key features that allowed us to create such a compact regulator. As a result whole construction consist of only 3 o-ring seals and only one moving part. Thus making it top-tier in the rankings of the most reliable airsoft regulators on the market. Additional side effect is the incredible ease of maintenance and long intervals between services.

Mancraft Regulator – Maintenance and Disassembly Guide

Before starting, ensure your HPA tank is disconnected, and the pressure gauge reads zero.  If you have any concerns or questions, consult with a knowledgeable technician or contact us for more details.

  1. Prepare for Disassembly:

    – Unscrew the regulator from the HPA tank, releasing pressure by re-connecting the HPA line. Confirm the pressure gauge shows zero.
    – Keep all parts organized and take photos for reference during reassembly.

  2. Secure Body Disassembly:

    – Use a 1.5mm Allen key to unscrew the locking grub screw on the side of the regulator. This screw secures the regulator’s body from accidental disassembly while detaching it from the HPA tank.

  3.  Inspect and Clean Lower Part:

    – Unscrew the lower part of the regulator and inspect the condition of the black O-ring and red flat seat at the bottom of the hole.
    – Clean and apply silicone grease to the black O-ring. Avoid applying grease to the red flat seal.

  4. Handle with Care:

    – Be cautious not to touch the metal tube’s edge during the process. This tube seals on the red flat seal and must be kept in perfect condition.

  5. Remove Main Spring and Knob:

    – Use round nose pliers to unscrew the silver regulator knob and remove the main spring.
    – If replacing the spring, note that the dark spring regulates within 0-100 psi, while the silver spring regulates from 0 to 240 psi. Choose according to your airsoft rifle’s needs.

  6. Unscrew Bronze Nut:

    – Use round nose pliers to unscrew the bronze nut from the inside of the regulator.

  7. Gently Remove Piston:

    – Using rubber-ended tweezers, gently grab the piston by the tube running through the middle of the regulator and pull it out. Avoid excessive force; instead, wiggle to remove it.

  8. Clean and Apply Grease:

    – Clean the inside of the regulator and reapply grease on surfaces in contact with O-rings and the O-rings themselves.

Mancraft HRR vs Mancraft MMR Pressure Regulators

HRR regulators are more dust and weather resistant. They are larger and much easier to unscrew from the tank. The pressure regulation is somewhat harder than on the MMR regulator as it require Allen key.

MMR regulators are much more compact and lighter. Pressure regulation mechanism is more durable and it’s easier to change the pressure. As there is smaller surface to grab, they are harder to unscrew from the HPA tank.

Pressure Regulator stuck on the HPA Tank – tips and tricks

Ensuring smooth unscrewing of airsoft pressure regulators from HPA tanks is crucial for preserving the integrity of threads and preventing any potential damage. Here are some practical tips to facilitate the unscrewing process:

  1. Lubricate Threads:
    – Apply a thin layer of anti-seize copper grease to the threads on both the regulator and the HPA tank. This helps reduce friction and ensures easy maneuverability during unscrewing.
  2. O-Ring Lubrication:
    – Keep the O-ring seal on the HPA tank and the corresponding surface on the pressure regulator well-lubricated with silicone grease. This minimizes resistance and promotes smooth rotation.
  3. Dry-Shooting Technique:
    – Engage in a continuous dry-shooting motion while unscrewing the regulator from the tank. This rhythmic action assists in gradually loosening any potential tightness, making the unscrewing process more manageable.
  4. WD-40 Application (if necessary):
    – In more challenging situations, if the regulator appears stuck, consider applying WD-40 to the locked threads. Allow it a few minutes to work on any seized parts. Afterward, clean the threads thoroughly, as WD-40 can wear down O-ring seals over time.

By incorporating these practices, you enhance the ease of unscrewing airsoft pressure regulators, promoting the longevity of both the tank and regulator threads. These preventative measures also contribute to the overall maintenance and optimal performance of your airsoft equipment.
