Gorka (Горка) as we know it, was designed under name of “костюм горный ветрозащитный” which translates to mountain windproof suit. The uniform was originally designed for Russian Special Forces – Spetsnaz – and regular troops operating in extreme mountain conditions. Due to its outstanding performances on battlefields around the globe, it is widely used among civilians for hunting, hiking and general outdoor activities.
They are made of a dense tent cotton fabric. It is the perfect balance between wear resistance and flexibility, which is required in outside layers of tactical clothes. Polyester enriched material in form of ripstop fabric is used to fortificate the critical areas for wear and blotting.
Collar can be wide open to improve ventilation.
Or closed to create great barrier against weather. Reinforced with water and wear resistant shoulderpads when weared with smersh or heavy backpack to prevent premature wear of the jacket.
Peaked deep hood with adjustable straps for tight fit in extreme situations. Made of two layers of fabric. Cotton on the inside and enforced water resistant on the outside.
Anorak style pocket in the middle of the jacket locked on two big heavy duty buttons. Easy to operate and last much longer then traditional zip lock. Smooth design of jacket around the waist provide extra comfort while wearing tactical belt or smersh.
Additional low profile straps to adjust fit at the end of the jacket.
Proper big cargo pockets made of enforced water resistant fabric. Secured with big lid and large button.
Additional rubber straps built into the jacket around chest height for better fit in crucial areas.
Same rubber straps are located around the end of the arms and legs to secure material in place and prevent catching loose material in bushes or lifting ends of the fabric by strong wind.
Boots inserts prevents water or wind to hit space between boots and trousers. On top of it, the outside layer of the fabric works as gaiter when pulled over the boots.
